犂色: The first character has the fanqie phonetic notation lü (履) + zhi (脂). He's commentary on the Lunyu states: '犂 means variegated markings.' The Gujin zhengzi states: 'Analyzed as following the semantic component "ox" (牛) and the phonetic component li ([禾*刃]); [禾*刃] is pronounced li (利).'
