悒怏（陰急反考聲云悒恨也蒼頡篇云悒謂不舒皃也說文不安也從心邑聲下央仰反廣雅云怏強也說文不服懟也從心央聲懟音大內反懟怨也）。

"Depressed and disgruntled" (悒怏): [悒 has the fanqie] yin + ji (yi). The Kaosheng says: 'Yi (悒) means resentment.' The Cang Jie pian says: 'Yi describes an uneasy appearance.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It means uneasy; it has the mind radical (心) and yi (邑) phonetic.' The second character [怏 has the fanqie] yang + yang (yang). The Guangya says: 'Yang (怏) means recalcitrant.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Unsubmissive and resentful; it has the mind radical (心) and yang (央) phonetic.' Resentful (懟) is pronounced da + nei (dui); 懟 means resentment.
