楣楹（上美悲反爾雅楣謂之梁郭注云門上橫梁也下亦征反杜注左傳云楹柱也說文云並皆從木眉盈皆亦聲也）。

Lintels and pillars (楣楹: the first [character is pronounced] mei + bei fan; the Erya says that the mei (楣) is called the beam; Guo's commentary says it is the horizontal beam above a door; the second is yi + zheng fan; Du's commentary on the Zuo zhuan says that the ying (楹) is a pillar; the Shuowen jiezi says both are composed of 'wood' [木] with mei [眉] and ying [盈] phonetic).
