飇尒 (pronounced *shì-piào-yáo* [biāo]. Guo [Pu]'s commentary to the *Erya* says: A violent whirlwind rising from below upwards. The *Shizi* says: A sudden storm with swirling violent wind (*biāo*). The *Shuowen* states: *Biāo* denotes a tempestuous, whirling wind; it is formed from 'wind' with *biāo* also phonetic. The *Erya* also uses this character 猋).
