嶠甍（上音喬爾雅云山𨦣而高曰嶠郭注云謂殲峻也釋名云形似橋也古今正字從山喬聲集作嶠俗字也又作㠐下陌𮈃反卷初已音）。

嶠甍 (The first character is pronounced *qiáo*. The *Erya* says: A mountain with steep crags and great height is called *qiáo*. Guo [Pu]'s commentary says: It means towering and sheer. The *Shiming* says: Its shape resembles a bridge (*qiáo*). The *Gujin zhengzi* states: It is formed from 'mountain' with *qiáo* phonetic. In the anthology it is written as 嶠, which is a vulgar character; it is also written as 㠐. The second character is pronounced *mò-méng* [méng], glossed earlier in the scroll).
