闌甃（嬾單反案今之并闌也集從木作欄考聲木欄木名也非此義下側救反說文甃并塼也從瓦秋聲甓音瓶壁反郭注爾雅甓謂塶塼也）。

Well-curb brickwork (lánzhòu: the first is fanqie 嬾 + 單 [lǎn + dān]. Note: This refers to the curb of a well today. The collection writes it with the radical 木 as 欄; the Kaosheng states that the wooden 欄 is the name of a tree, which is not this meaning. The second is fanqie 側 + 救 [cè + jiù]. The Shuowen jiezi states: "Zhòu refers to the bricks of a well. It takes the radical 瓦 with 秋 as its phonetic component." Pì is fanqie 瓶 + 壁 [píng + bì]; Guo's commentary on the Erya states that pì refers to a baked brick).
