斯諺（言建反左傳云周諺有之也考聲傳古語也說文傳言也從言彥聲或作彥彥從文厂聲文音文厂音罕集從口作喭非也彥從立作彥俗也）。

This proverb: 諺 [yan] (言 + 建 fanqie. The Zuozhuan says: "A proverb of Zhou has it." The Kaosheng says: "Transmitting ancient sayings." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Transmitted words. Analyzed: from radical 言 'speech', with 彥 phonetic." It is also written as 彥, which derives from 文 with 厂 phonetic; 文 is pronounced 文, and 厂 is pronounced 罕. The collection has it with radical 口 'mouth' as 喭, which is incorrect. Writing 彥 with 立 is a vulgar form).
