岧堯（上徒聊反下鷁消反考聲岹嶢山並立貌也郭注方言嶢高峻之貌也廣雅岧危也考聲或作岹嶢鷁音霓激反）。

Towering high (岧堯) (the first character is pronounced with the fanqie 徒聊 [tú + liáo = tiáo]; the second character is pronounced with the fanqie 鷁消 [yì + xiāo = yáo]: the Kaosheng says, "岹嶢 describes mountains standing side by side." Guo [Pu]'s commentary to the Fangyan says, "嶢 means the appearance of being high and steep." The Guangya says, "岧 means perilous." The Kaosheng also writes it as 岹嶢; 鷁 is pronounced with the fanqie 霓激 [ní + jī = yì]).
