[旲/刀]廣(號老反說文[旲/刀]謂先氣晧晧也從日從[大/刀][大/刀]音公老反字從大而八分也從日從天者俗也集或作昊或作莫或作𰰘皆非也)。

Haoguang [旲/刀]廣 ([旲/刀] is pronounced with the fanqie phonetic spelling hao + lao [hào]. The Shuowen says: "[旲/刀] refers to the bright, luminous primordial qi. It is composed of 日 (sun) and [大/刀]; [大/刀] is pronounced with the fanqie gong + lao [gǎo]. The character is composed of 大 with eight-fraction stroke." The form written with 日 and 天 is a vulgar variant. The collected edition writes it variously as 昊, 莫, or 𰰘, all of which are incorrect).
