踧踖（上啾六反下精亦反馬注論語云踧踖恭敬皃也廣雅踧踖畏敬也踧或作踧說文踖從足昔聲集作蹙謂聚也非踧踖義）。

Cuji 踧踖 (The first character is pronounced with the fanqie phonetic spelling jiu + liu [cù]; the second is pronounced jing + yi [jí]. Ma [Rong]'s commentary to the Analects says: "踧踖 describes a reverent and respectful demeanor." The Guangya says: "踧踖 means fearful reverence." 踧 is also written as 踧. The Shuowen says: "踖 takes 足 as radical and 昔 as phonetic." The collected edition gives 蹙, which means to crowd together and does not carry the sense of 踧踖).
