Yi chanajing, yi muhuluodaojing, yi luobojing [in the span of an instant, a muhūrta, a lava] (fanqie: quan- + -ying. The Kaosheng says: 'A short moment.' The Jixun says: 'Close; a brief interval.' Kṣaṇa, lava, and muhūrta are all Sanskrit names for divisions of time in that region. Of kṣaṇa there are two distinctions: the Abhidharmakośa-śāstra states that one hundred and twenty kṣaṇas make a tatkṣaṇa, and its duration is in fact one lava. Muhūrta is sometimes written mohulüduo. The treatises call it an 'instant' [xuyu], and astrological texts call it mohu; these are all just one name. The treatises like the Kośa and the Vibhāṣā explain this meaning in detail; fascicles four and ten of this glossary have already calculated the quantities and fully explained the definitions).
