Net ([(ㄇ@(人*人))/口/肉]䋞): The upper character has the fanqie *jué* + *yǎn* ([(ㄇ@(人*人))/口/肉]). The *Guangya* says: 'A [网/肉] is a hare net (罘).' In the scriptures it is written as 羂, which is interchangeable. The *Gu-jin zhengzi* derives it from 冈 with 𰮄 as phonetic; 𰮄 has the fanqie *jué* + *xuán*. The lower character has the fanqie *wǔ* + *fǎng* (䋞). Gu Yewang says: '冈 is the general term for spreading nets.' The *Gu-jin zhengzi* derives it from 糸 with 冈 as phonetic. 网 is a pictograph. The character 罘 has the fanqie *fú* + *liú*; 𮊁 is pronounced *gǔ*. These are all simply different names for nets.
