癀瘧 (jaundice and malaria; the first character is [禾*(竺-二+隻)]光反; the Kaosheng states that 癀 is a disease; the second character is 仰略反; the Rites of Zhou states, 'In autumn there are malarial chills'; the Monthly Ordinances states, 'When cold and heat are unregulated, many people suffer from malaria'; the Wenzidian shuo states that 虐 means a disease of alternating chills and fever; it takes the 'sickness' (疒) radical with 虐; 虐 also stands for malaria).
