揮擊 (The upper character has the sound 暉 [huī]. The Guangya says: "揮 means to wave and brandish." The Zijing says: "To move the hand." The Kaosheng says: "To shake." The Shuowen says: "To brandish. Analyzed as semantic 手 and phonetic 軍." The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 經亦 [jī]; it is a vulgar character, its standard form being 𣪠. The Guangya says: "To knock, beat, mallet, and strike (擊)." The Kaosheng says: "To attack; to strike." Gu Yewang says: "To hit; to beat." The Shuowen says: "To beat with a staff. Analyzed as semantic 手 and phonetic 𣪠." 𣪠 has the same sound as above; 敲 is pronounced with the fanqie 巧交 [qiāo]; the bottom of the character 奮 has 田; 椎 is pronounced with the fanqie 直追 [zhuī]; 𣪊 with 木 is pronounced with the fanqie 苦角 [kè]; 捶 is pronounced with the fanqie 之水 [chuí].)
