灘磧 (the first character is *ta* combined with *dan* [fanqie: ta-dan]; the Shuowen says: “Where water rushes forcefully and then dries up. Formed with 水 [氵], with 灘 as its phonetic component.” The second character is *qing* combined with *li* [fanqie: qing-li]; the Guangya says: “磧 means rapids, where water is shallow and stones are exposed.” The Shuowen says: “Formed with 石, with 𧵩 as its phonetic component”).
