Villages and hamlets (聚落: fanqie 慈𡦗 [cí + luò = luò]; the Hanshu says: 'For school academies, a gathering is called 序, and a township is called 庠'; Zhang Yan says: 'Names of hamlets and villages'; Wei Zhao's commentary to the Minor Odes says: 'A township is called a聚, where people gather; the Guangya says: '落 means dwelling, where people live'; the Hanshu's 'do not burn settlements and hamlets' is this).
