鳧鷖 [wild ducks and gulls] (The first character has the fanqie 補無 [fú]. The commentary on the Mao Shi says: '鳧 is a water bird.' Gu Yewang says: 'Namely, the mallard duck.' The Shuowen jiezi says: '舒鳧 is the gull; its flight is serene; derived from 鳥 and 几, where 几 is also phonetic.' The second character has the fanqie 益奚 [yī]. The commentary on the Mao Shi says: '鷖 belongs to the duck kind.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'Derived from 鳥 with 殹 as phonetic.' 几 is pronounced 殊 [shū]; 殹 has the fanqie 烏計 [yì]).
