Jièdào (疥𤸇, scabies and chronic sores; the upper [character] is pronounced jiè, a wind-sore; the lower has the fanqie [dāo + chōng], an ailment where wind coagulates and the skin erupts. The Yupian states: "An exhausting disease; a chronic disease of old age." The Shuowen states: "An exhausting ailment"; it is a phono-semantic character).
