罥網 (the first character is the fanqie 决 + 犬 [juàn]; the standard form is 羂, also written as 罥; the Kaosheng says: "Catching with a cord." The Yunying: "Tying and capturing." Note: 羂 refers to a snare-cord. The second character is the fanqie 無 + 倣 [wǎng]; Gu Yewang says: "網 is the general name for hunting nets and bird nets." The Yijing says: "In ancient times Baoxi knotted cords to make nets to hunt and fish, thereby nourishing the myriad people." The Shiben says: "Mang made bird nets and nets." Zhu Zhong says: "That refers to Fuxi." It is also written as 羅罔 or as 网, all of which are ancient pictographic characters).
