Loom and weaving (機絍: the second [character] is *ru-jin* [r- + -èn = rèn] in fanqie; the Kaosheng says: “絍 means weaving threads.” Du’s commentary on the Zuo zhuan says: “Weaving the warp of silk fabrics and cloth.” The Shuowen says: “Categorized under 'silk' with 任 as phonetic; 繒 is *ji-ying* [j- + -ìng = zèng] in fanqie; below where it mentions 'the woman who weaves (織絍之婦)', the pronunciation is the same”).
