Rong and Mo barbarians 戎貊 (fanqie: 盲百 [mò]). The Zhouli's Zhifang says: 'In charge of the people of the nine Mo regions.' Zheng Zhong's commentary says: 'The northern peoples are called Mo.' The Shuowen jiezi says it takes 豸 ('beast') as semantic and 百 as phonetic. The Kaosheng writes it also as this 貊. The edition under collation writes 狛, which has the sound 碧 and is not the correct meaning.
