剜眼（上椀莞反埤蒼云剜削也考聲云剜由刻也說文云從刀死形聲也）。

Gouging out the eyes (剜眼: the first character has the fanqie 椀莞 [wān]. The Pi Cang says: "剜 means to pare." The Kaosheng says: "剜 is like gouging." The Shuowen says: "Formed from 刀 (knife); a phono-semantic character").
