窣堵波（上蘇骨反梵語也或云蘇偷婆或云塔婆皆梵言楚夏耳此譯云高勝方墳也即安如來舍利[墫-酋+(甫-、)]石䥫木等塔是也俗語或云浮圖也）。

窣堵波 [stūpa] (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 蘇骨 [sū]. Sanskrit. It is also called 蘇偷婆 or 塔婆, which are all just regional phonetic variants of the Sanskrit word. Here it is translated as 'high and eminent square tumulus', namely stone, iron, or wooden towers housing the relics of the Tathāgata, cinerary urns, and the like. Popular speech also refers to it as a futu [pagoda]).
