赧而（上拏揀反方言云赧亦媿也說文云面慙赤也字從㞋聲也㞋音展經文從皮作𧹞誤書也）。

赧而 [flushed and blushing] (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 拏揀 [nǎn]. The Fangyan says: “赧 also means ashamed.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “The face blushing red with shame.” The character is formed with 㞋 as the phonetic element; 㞋 is pronounced 展 [zhǎn]. The sūtra text writes it with 皮 as 𧹞, which is an error in transcription).
