眼睛（下子盈反考聲云目珠子也說文云從目青聲經文有作精善也正也非眼睛義也）。

眼睛 [pupil of the eye] (The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 子盈 [jīng]. The Kaosheng says: “The eyeball.” The Shuowen jiezi says: “Formed from 目 [eye] with 青 as the phonetic element.” In some sūtra texts it is written as 精 [essence], which means good or correct, and is not the meaning of 眼睛 [eyeball]).
