枯槁（上苦姑反說文云枯亦槁也從木古聲也下苦老反考聲云槁乾也說文作槀木枯也從木高聲亦作𣩅字也）。

枯槁 [withered and desiccated] (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 苦姑 [kū]. The Shuowen jiezi says: “枯 also means desiccated (槁); formed from 木 [wood] with 古 as the phonetic element.” The lower character is pronounced with the fanqie 苦老 [gǎo]. The Kaosheng says: “槁 means dry.” The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 槀, meaning withered wood, formed from 木 [wood] with 高 as the phonetic element; it is also written as the character 𣩅).
