阿鼻（梵語也或云阿毘或云阿鼻旨此云無間無間有二義一身無間二受苦無間此地獄縱廣深等二萬由旬故俱舍論云此下過二萬無間深廣同也）。

阿鼻 [Avīci] (Sanskrit; also written 阿毘 or 阿鼻旨 [Avīci]. Here it is translated as 'Incessant' [avīci]. 'Incessant' has two meanings: first, incessant physical form [filling the space]; second, incessant undergoing of suffering. The length, breadth, and depth of this hell are each twenty thousand yojanas; hence the Abhidharmakośa-śāstra states: “Descending twenty thousand yojanas below this, the Incessant Hell has an identical depth and breadth”).
