慣習（上關患反杜註左傳云慣亦習也說文作遦云習也從辵貫聲辵音丑略反經文有本作串音釧俗字也）。

慣習 [habituated and practiced] (The upper character is pronounced with the fanqie 關患 [guàn]. Du [Yu]'s commentary to the Zuo zhuan says: “慣 also means to practice.” The Shuowen jiezi writes it as 遦, saying: “To practice; formed from 辵 with 貫 as the phonetic element.” 辵 is pronounced with the fanqie 丑略 [chuò]. In some editions of the sūtra text it is written as 串, pronounced 釧 [chuàn], which is a popular character).
