淑忒（上殊六反爾雅云淑善也說文云清湛也從水叔聲俗作洲詩云淑不善逆也下他德反爾雅云爽忒也郭注云用心差錯不專一也）。

Shute 淑忒 (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [sh- + -ù > sh-] shū liù 反. The Erya says: "Shu 淑 means good." The Shuowen jiezi says: "Pure and clear." It takes the water radical with 叔 as the phonetic; popularly written as 洲. The Shijing says: "Good, not evil or contrary." The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling [t- + -è > t-] tā dé 反. The Erya says: "Shuang 爽 means error (te 忒)." Guo Pu's commentary says: "The application of mind is erratic and not single-minded").
