腠理（上倉奏反鄭注儀禮云腠皮膚理也考聲云皮膚內也古今正字從肉奏形聲字也）。

腠理 (The first character has the fanqie 倉奏 [cāng + zòu]. Zheng [Xuan's] commentary on the Yili states: '腠 [interstices] means the pattern/structure of the skin.' The Kaosheng states: 'Inside the skin.' The Gujin zhengzi explains: 'It is derived from 肉 [flesh] with 奏 as phonetic, a phonetic-ideographic character.').
