尺鷃（上或作赤同下音晏爾雅云鳸鷃郭注云鷃雀也或作鴳考聲云小鳥也地穴作巢者從鳥晏聲也鳸音戶）。

尺鷃 (The first character is sometimes written 赤 with the same meaning. The second character is pronounced 晏 [yàn]. The Erya states: '鳸 is the 鷃.' Guo [Pu's] commentary states: 'The quails; sometimes written 鴳.' The Kaosheng states: 'A small bird that nests in burrows in the ground; derived from 鳥 [bird] with 晏 as phonetic.' 鳸 has the pronunciation 戶 [hù]).
