貽訓（上與之反切韻云貺也爾雅云貽遺也郭注云相歸遺也說文從貝台聲台音同上下許運反說文誡也又導也廣韻云男曰教女曰訓尚書序云典謨訓誥誓命之文凡百篇以弘至道也）。

貽訓 (The first character has the fanqie 與之 [yǔ + zhī]. The Qieyun states: 'To bestow.' The Erya states: '貽 means to leave behind/bequeath [遺].' Guo [Pu's] commentary states: 'To bequeath to one another.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'Derived from 貝 [cowrie/wealth] with 台 as phonetic.' 台 has the same pronunciation as above. The second character has the fanqie 許運 [xǔ + yùn]. The Shuowen jiezi states: 'To admonish; also to guide.' The Guangyun states: 'To men it is called instruction [教]; to women it is called training [訓].' The preface to the Shangshu states: 'The texts of canons, counsels, instructions, announcements, oaths, and charges, totaling one hundred chapters, were used to propagate the supreme Way.').
