媒衒 (The first character has the fanqie 莫杯 [mò + bēi]. The Shuowen jiezi states: '媒 means betrothal.' The Zishu states: 'A matchmaker, referring to planning a union for matrimonial alliance; derived from 女 [woman] with 某 as phonetic.' The second character has the pronunciation 黃絹 [huáng + juàn]. The Kaosheng states: 'To walk about and sell.' The Shuowen jiezi correctly writes it as 𧗳, meaning to market oneself).
