門闥（上門字或作門說文云從二戶也下他達反漢書集注云闥謂小門也切韻云闥謂門道也又通也）。

Inner doorways (門闥: the first character 門 is sometimes written 門; Shuowen says, “It takes two single doors.” The second character has the fanqie 他 + 達; the Collected Commentary to the Book of Han says, “Tà refers to a small doorway.” Qieyun says, “Tà refers to the passageway of a gate; it also means unobstructed”).
