違諍（上雨非反字書云背也亦逆也說文離也從辵韋聲韋字從舛從口上下相背之形舛音喘口音韋走音丑略反下側迸反說文諫止也從言爭聲也爭音同上）。

Conflict / contention (違諍) (The first [character] has the fanqie yǔ + fēi [wéi]. Character books say: 'To turn one's back on; also to disobey.' The Shuowen states: 'To depart from. It derives from walking (辵) with the phonetic wéi (韋).' The character wéi (韋) derives from chuǎn (舛) and kǒu (口), in the form of opposing each other above and below. Chuǎn has the sound chuǎn; kǒu has the sound wéi; zǒu (走) has the fanqie chǒu + lüè [chè]. The second [character] has the fanqie cè + bèng [zhèng]. The Shuowen states: 'To remonstrate and stop. It derives from speech (言) with the phonetic zhēng (爭).' 爭 has the same sound as above).
