捺落迦（梵語也或云那落迦此云苦器或云苦具即治罰罪人之器具地獄總名也故俱舍論云此下過二万無間深廣同上七捺落迦八增皆十六）。

捺落迦 (Sanskrit [naraka]; also written as 那落迦. It translates here as 'vessel of suffering' or 'instrument of suffering', which refers to the instruments used to punish sinners, serving as a general term for hell. Therefore the Abhidharmakośa-śāstra states: 'Twenty thousand leagues below this lies the Avīci hell, its depth and breadth matching [the eight great hells] above; the seven narakas and eight additions all number sixteen').
