(The first character has the fanqie yu + wen. The Qieyun says: 'Anger.' The Analects of Confucius says: 'To remain unangered even when unappreciated by others.' He Yan's commentary says: '慍 means anger; when people fail to understand, the gentleman does not become angry.' The second character has the fanqie pu + bao. The Wujing yinyi says: 'It refers to encroachments and violence.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It derives from "sun", gong (pronounced gong), and water (which is written separately in 暴).' The scripture writes it with "field" and gong, which greatly deviates from the character's proper structure).
