溟渤（上莫經反考聲云深也山海經云北海謂之溟說文云從水冥聲下蒲沒反玉篇渤澥也字書云海水渤渤然也）。

溟渤 (The first character has the fanqie mo + jing. The Kaosheng says: 'Deep.' The Shanhai jing says: 'The northern sea is called the Ming.' The Shuowen jiezi says: 'It derives from "water" with the phonetic ming.' The second character has the fanqie pu + mo. The Yupian says: 'The Bohai sea.' Dictionaries say: 'The churning appearance of seawater').
