竝將（上音滿逈反正體並字也切篇比也說文云二人同立也下即羊反爾雅曰將送也考聲將大也助也說文云從𱼀寸爿聲也𱼀音肉爿音牆經文作捋俗字非正）。

Together escorting (竝將: the upper is pronounced mǎn + jiǒng [bìng], the standard form of the character 並. The Qiepian says, "To align." The Shuowen says, "Two people standing together." For the lower, jí + yáng [jiāng]; the Erya says, "將 means to escort." The Kaosheng says, "將 means great; to assist." The Shuowen says, "Derived from 𱼀 and 寸, with 爿 as phonetic." 𱼀 is pronounced ròu; 爿 is pronounced qiáng. The sūtra text writes it as 捋, a vulgar character and not standard).
