旋澓（上似泉反爾雅曰旋澓返也謂𢌞還也下音復爾雅釋水云逆流而上曰泝洄即澓也三蒼云澓深也謂河海中旋流處）。

Whirling eddy (旋澓: the first character has the fanqie 似泉 [si + quan / xuán]. The Erya says: "'旋澓' means returning; that is, turning back." The second character is pronounced 復 [fù]. The "Explaining Waters" section of the Erya says: "Flowing up against the current is called '泝洄' [going upstream against an eddy], which is '澓'." The Sancang says: "'澓' means deep; it refers to places in rivers and oceans where water whirls.")
