枯槁（上苦姑反切韻云朽也考聲云木乾死也下苦皓反切韻云槁亦枯也說文云從木高聲）。

Withered and desiccated (枯槁: the first character has the fanqie 苦姑 [ku + gu / kū]. The Qieyun says: "Rotten." The Kaosheng says: "Trees dying dry." The second character has the fanqie 苦皓 [ku + hao / gǎo]. The Qieyun says: "'槁' also means withered." The Shuowen says: "It is formed from the radical 木 [wood] with 高 as the phonetic component.")
