遲緩（上直知反切韻久晚也爾雅曰遲遲徐也郭注云安徐也下胡管反切韻舒也爾雅曰綽綽爰爰緩也郭注云皆寬緩也說文從糸爰聲也）。

Slow and relaxed (chihuan 遲緩: the first character has the fanqie [reading] zhi + zhi [chi]. The Qieyun says: "Prolonged and late." The Erya says: "遲遲 means slow." Guo's commentary says: "Leisurely and slow." The second character has the fanqie [reading] hu + guan [huan]. The Qieyun says: "Unhurried." The Erya says: "Unrestrained and relaxed means loose." Guo's commentary says: "All mean spacious and slow." The Shuowen [jiezi] says it takes 'silk' [as semantic component] and yuan as phonetic).
