孤惸（上古胡反考聲云獨也說文無父曰孤從子從觚省聲下葵營反考聲云孤單也文字典說無兄弟曰惸說文作㷀從卂營省聲或從人作𠌻或省作焭皆通用字）。

孤惸 (Solitary and orphaned: the upper character has the fanqie 古胡; the Kaosheng says it means alone; the Shuowen says that having no father is called 孤; it is formed from 子 with the phonetic 觚 abbreviated. The lower character has the fanqie 葵營; the Kaosheng says it means solitary and alone; the Wenzidianshuo says that having no brothers is called 惸; the Shuowen writes it as 㷀, formed from 卂 with the phonetic 營 abbreviated; it is also written with the person classifier as 𠌻, or abbreviated as 焭, which are all interchangeable characters).
