臘沓子（沓徒合反考聲合也說文從水音別與雜還字義同經文從水舊作沓或作沓誤書也案臘沓子者以五穀雜令一處用以加持如今俗言臘雜子也）。

臘沓子 (Mixed grains: 沓 has the fanqie 徒合; the Kaosheng says it means joining together; the Shuowen says it is formed from 水, with a distinct pronunciation, and has the same meaning as 雜還 [miscellaneous / mixed]; the scripture text writes it with the water classifier 水, previously written 沓 or written 沓, which is an erroneous writing. Note: 臘沓子 refers to mixing the five grains in one place to use for consecration, similar to what is colloquially called 臘雜子 nowadays).
