瘖瘂（上飲今反說文不能言也瘖猶無聲也下烏賈反考聲云不能言也瘂人雖有聲無詞也古今正字瘂瘖也從疒亞聲疒女厄反）。

瘖瘂 (Mute and dumb: the upper character has the fanqie 飲今; the Shuowen says unable to speak; 瘖 is like having no voice. The lower character has the fanqie 烏賈; the Kaosheng says unable to speak; a mute person [瘂人] has voice but no words; the Gujin zhengzi says: “瘂 means 瘖”; it is formed from 疒 with the phonetic 亞; 疒 has the fanqie 女厄).
