休廢（上許尤云切韻善也美也考聲息也說文從人倚木息也下芳肺反爾雅曰廢舍也郭注云舍放置也切韻止也經文作癈癈病也非休止義）。

休廢: The upper [character is read with the] fanqie xu + you. The Qieyun states: 'Good; excellent.' The Kaosheng states: 'To rest.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'Formed from a person (人) leaning against a tree (木) to rest.' The lower [character is read with the] fanqie fang + fei. The Erya states: 'Fei (廢) means to set aside.' Guo's Commentary states: 'She (舍) means to put aside.' The Qieyun states: 'To cease.' In the text of the sūtra it is written as fei (癈); fei means sickness, not the meaning of resting and ceasing.
