霹靂（上普擊反下郎擊反說文曰霹靂析震戰也所擊輒破若攻戰也王充論衡云陰陽氣盛相擊之聲即迅雷也）。

霹靂 (for the first character, [pī], fanqie 普擊 [pʰ- + -ek = pʰek/pī]. For the second character, [lì], fanqie 郎擊 [l- + -ek = lek/lì]. The Shuowen says: “霹靂 means splitting thunder shaking in battle; whatever it strikes breaks at once, like an assault in battle.” Wang Chong's Lunheng says: “When the yin and yang qi are surging, the sound of their colliding is rapid thunder.”)
