遏𡨥（上安葛反蒼頡篇云遏遮也毛詩傳曰遏止也尚書云遏絕也下口搆反考聲寇賊也韻詮云盛多也說文暴也字書寶字從攴完）。

遏𡨥: The upper [character is read with the] fanqie an + ge. The Cangjie pian states: 'E (遏) means to block.' The Commentary to the Mao Poetry states: 'E means to stop.' The Shangshu states: 'E means to cut off.' The lower [character is read with the] fanqie kou + gou. The Kaosheng states: 'Kou (寇) means bandit.' The Yunquan states: 'Abundant.' The Shuowen jiezi states: 'Violent.' The character dictionaries state that the character kou is formed from pu (攴) and wan (完).
