龍湫(上力鍾反切韻君也禮記云龜龍麟鳳四瑞也易曰雲從龍論衡云龍亦畜也古有捕龍氏若非畜安捕哉下即由反切韻水神名也考聲湫聚也謂不流水也)。

Dragon pool [龍湫] (The first character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 力 + 鍾; the Qieyun says ruler; the Record of Rites states: "The tortoise, dragon, qilin, and phoenix are the four auspicious portents"; the Book of Changes states: "Clouds follow the dragon"; the Lunheng states: "The dragon is also a domestic animal; in antiquity there was the Dragon-rearing Clan; if it were not a domestic animal, how could it be reared?" The second character has the fanqie phonetic spelling 即 + 由; the Qieyun says the name of a water deity; the Kaosheng says a qiu is a pooling, meaning non-flowing water).
