蜴𧋍 (The upper character is pronounced like 亦 [yì]. The lower character has the fanqie 星歷 [x- + -(l)ek = xī/xīli]. The Shuowen says: 'On a wall it is called 蝘蜓 [yǎntíng, gecko]; in the grass it is called 𧋍蜴 [xīyì, lizard].' The Fangyan says: 'In marshes it is called 𧋍蜴; in Southern Chu it is called 虵醫 [shéyī], or sometimes called 蠑螈 [róngyuán].' The characters are formed with the classifier 虫 [insect/reptile] and phonetic 易 and 析; both are phonosemantic characters. In the sūtra text, the lower character is written as 蜡, pronounced 乍 [zhà], which is the name of the great Zhà sacrifice at the end of the twelfth month; the scribe wrote it erroneously. 析 is pronounced 先戚 [xī], and 昔 is pronounced 私積 [xī]).
